It has been at least six years, three months and some days since my life has been my own. I knew that having children would change my life forever. I was not, however, prepared for the complete loss of identity and the floundering that ensued.
This blog is about finding my way back to the talented, ambitious, carefree designer that I used to be. Now, don't get me wrong. I know you can never REALLY go back. The joys and tragedies in our lives change us. I will not be sharing our personal tragedies here. Many are not my own stories to tell. Those of you who know me personally have shared in them along the way, and I thank you for being that. Instead, mmy goal here is reconnect with that lost woman and to allow her to come out of the past and into the present; welcoming her into the life we are building in West Orange, NJ.
Within these pages, you will hear my thoughts and opinions about fashion, style, and decor. I will share tips and tricks with you. You will read about the mechanics of building my business and creating my brand. I may share tidbits about life and culture in New Jersey. In a nutshell, this blog is about life, beauty, design, life as a military spouse, art, and of course, knitting.
Thank you for joining me.
