Joy is a large shawl. It is a right triangle with a knitted-on lace border. The shawl is knit from the short side of the triangle up to the point. The lace border is added after the knitting of the main shawl is complete. I named the shawl after my dear friend, Joy, who gave me the yarn that inspired the design as a birthday gift. Joy would also work well in a solid, semi solid, or even a fade. The pattern is written in two sizes. There is a lot of 2 x 2 rib in this shawl, but the end result is a beautifully draped fabric that is wonderful to wrap up in. The knitted ruffle border adds the perfect amount of softness and femininity to the geometric triangle shape.
